Opening night of Fresh Air Art Show

Meditation Rooms

Recently submitted a piece for the Renown Hospital Meditation room . Many hospitals are changing over Chapels to rooms that serve a variety of spiritual practices. I have lost many people I loved and I know how it feels to need a moment to be centered. In the 3weeks preceding the deadline, my dad was taken to the hospital.

So I took advantage of the opportunity to visit some. Mostly they are sad inside. Dark colors, they don't smell good and there is little to make you feel light.  This piece is called "It takes a Village." The canvas I used was from an art showninparticipated in called Fresh Air. It was a collaboration show. So there are some little details that poke thru to show a life before. There are references to family and shelter and breath. Sadly, I wasn't chosen as 1 of 3 artists but my work will go to a private auction during Artown to raise money. Ps my dad is doing great;)

Pop into the San Diego LGBTQ Visitors Center for some sweet lovin'.

If you are in San Diego and hear about the LGBTQ Community then you have probably heard the name Eddie Rey. He's always hopping around place to place and is the face and brains behind the San Diego LGBTQ Visitors Center.

Give him a chance and he will tell you all about the great things to do and reasons to visit San Diego. The visitors center is located inside of Creative Crossroads in the lovely Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego.  Pop in and take a selfie with Eddie Rey and kiss him on the cheek for me,
On a side note... he's loves to be scared so sneak up on him if possible.:)

Visit the LGBTQ Visitors Center (#fabsandiego) at 502 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.

Thanks to Stone IPA for sponsoring the opening of the LGBTQ Visitors Center.
